Food on Youtube : W/b 25th May 2014

Youtube is a hub for food channels and they are incredibly popular.

With some channels having 2 million subscribers and many British foodies showing recipes on Youtube, I’d thought I’d find some of the foodie gems to share here with links. I’m subscribed to many food channels and they always post cracking recipes. It is a space to find almost everything you need with great passionate people behind the channels posting regularly so it’s time to celebrate the best of the best.

Here are some of this week’s foodie gems:

Okay maybe this isn’t a food channel but the recipe for the Sweet Potato Souffle (credit to Mal) is in the description and the actual chicken breast is a link to a recipe page. It’s still food and by the looks of it, very delicious.

Kate is a British Youtuber who I know loves her food. This week Kate tackles a moist and rich chocolate cake great for dessert; she posts a video every Thursday at 5pm GMT.

Sorted Food are a group of friends who have a passion for food and have launched this Youtube channel and their own website showing off their food. With almost 800,000 subscribers, please go check them out if you haven’t already.

Donal Skehan, known for his TV series Kitchen Hero and appearance as a judge on Junior MasterChef, has moved to Youtube and makes a guest appearance on Jamie Oliver’s Foodtube channel. A creamy fish pie is simple and really quite healthy, depending on how much cheese and butter you want to use.

Rosanna Pansino is known worldwide for her Nerdy Nummies channel in which she creates bakes which link to TV shows, books, films or video games such as the Mario Kart series. Her simple and funny delivery of the recipe means she is one of my favourite Youtubers and the recipes are both easy and delicious.
