The Best Looking Tsui Wah Restaurant: #AITKitchenInHK: Day 13

For the first time in a long time, we only had 2 meals today and that is quite an achievement! We stayed in Tai Po today but we did quite a lot of new exploring despite living here every time we come back!
We decided to take a different route to Tai Po Mega Mall today which involved crossing the Lam Tsuen River along Po Heung Street and crossing an underpass. This took us to lots of different plazas, like Jade Plaza and Fortune Plaza, the former of which we’d never visited before. We walked on the outside where there were plenty of shops but of course it was incredibly hot, I mean look at the beautifully blue skies!

Eventually I took us to the Tsui Wah on the ground floor of Tai Po Plaza. Other Tsui Wahs we’d been into had been similar to a normal restaurant yet this Tsui Wah was incredibly luxurious and felt almost European with its dim lighting and furniture. It’s a minor point that maybe most people wouldn’t notice but it immediately made the restaurant more homely and cosy.

With it being 2pm, only having had a cup of tea since waking up at 9pm, I chose to try the Jumbo Hot Dog (which was 11 inches long apparently!) and the Cutlet Pork Curry with Rice. For drinks, I had the summer Lime Sherbet which was awesome! The curry was very spicy and the sherbet drink cooled it down so a perfect balance! The hot dog was also good for the price of $32.

We are reaching the end of our holiday so the luggage packing is well on its way. It’s amazing how you don’t realise just how much food you can buy during 10 days! Remember that you can see read about all of our adventures in Hong Kong using #AITKitchenInHK!
